Donald deGraffenried, MSW

Donald F. deGraffenried, LCSW, specializes in the treatment of complex PTSD with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has worked with crime victims and homicide survivors in both an agency setting and private practice. He is a Senior Trainer for Part I and Part II with EMDR Training Solutions and has trained extensively in the United States and Canada. He maintains private practice in New Haven, CT., USA specializing in the treatment of trauma with EMDR and is also a Professor with the graduate school of Social Work at Quinnipiac University in North Haven, CT. Mr. deGraffenried is a passionate advocate for expanding EMDR into agency and community mental health settings and has designed an urban, agency based EMDR program for the treatment of homicide survivors. He is the author of several articles on home-based family interventions with multi-problem families. He has provided EMDR training to agency practitioners in many communities such as: New York, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Nevada, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kitchener, Canada, Mumbai and Bangkok.
