Who can attend the conference?
Anyone who has completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic Training or the first part (first weekend) of an EMDRIA approved Basic Training is welcome to attend.
How can I register?
You must fill out the registration form on the EMDR Canada website.
After entering your personal information, you will be asked to choose only those workshops where you will be present live and then you will be asked to proceed to checkout.
What happens after online registration?
We will send you by email your receipt, instructions for creating an account on the HOPIN platform, the password to access all documents/session recordings and a confirmation of the workshops chosen during your registration.
A week before the conference, we will send you another email with the link to access the Platform HOPIN where the conference will take place.
Can I share my password to access the live conference or my computer screen with other colleagues?
Registration is for single use only. We ask participants to purchase a registration for themselves only and to avoid sharing access with colleagues who have not paid to participate. As a participant in this conference, you agree not to share your personal access. We sincerely thank you for respecting the work of our speakers!
What is your cancellation policy?
Registration fees will be refundable up to 7 days before the workshop, less a fee of $75.00 administration cost. Requests for refund must be made by email (email@example.com) or in writing to:

What time zone will the sessions be streamed?
All live sessions will be streamed in the Central Daylight Time (UTC-5h).

What if I miss a live session?
This year, the format of the conference will be a live virtual three-day conference with the recorded version workshops for viewing available until June 20th, 2021.
If there are several sessions that capture your attention, simply choose those ones you want to attend “live” and then come back to watch the others at your own pace.
What platform will be used for this year's conference?
This year, the CONGRESS will take place on the HOPIN PLATFORM (https://hopin.com/sign_up).
During the weeks leading up to the Congress, we invite you to visit the HOPIN PLATFORM to create an account. This account will be NECESSARY for you to access the April event.
*About one week before the CONGRESS of APRIL 16-17-18, we will send you the link to access the conference on the HOPIN PLATFORM.

Can I use my desktop, laptop, tablet and even my mobile device to participate live in the conference?
Certainly, you can use all these communication tools.
Note for mobile: Please download and install the HOPIN application on your cell phone.

What are the browser compatibility for events hosted on Hopin?
Web compatibility for events hosted on Hopin:
Currently, Hopin online events platform is fully compatible with Desktop (web) on the following browsers updated to the latest version: Google Chrome – Mozilla Firefox
We recommend running a desktop browser for the best and seamless experience across the Hopin platform.
Note: Other independent browsers that accept webRTC technology may be compatible.
Safari is not fully compatible for video on desktops.
Explorer/Edge is not compatible on desktops.
For macOS users, use Catalina instead of Big Sur for a smoother experience. If using Big Sur, it is best to connect to the event via an incognito tab.
Are all presentations offered with translation?
We ensure that each time slot offers at least one presentation in French. This year, there will be simultaneous translation only on the Saturday because of the many francophone speakers presenting on Friday and Sunday.
When do I get my password to access the handouts from the presenters?
The password will be emailed to you immediately with your receipt after registration. Please note: all access codes must be entered with CAPITAL LETTERS.
When and where will I be able to access the speakers' materials?
All handouts for the 2021 EMDR Canada Annual Conference will be available:
- On our Conference Website under the DOCUMENTS tab from April 9th to June 20th, 2021.
- On the HOPIN Platform where the live conference will take place.
Can I download handouts for all the presentations?
YES! You are able to download all session handouts this year.
Can I share or distribute handouts?
As a participant in this conference, you agree not to distribute those documents. Handouts are for personal/professional use only. Thank you for respecting the work of our presenters!
When session recordings will be available?
Most of the session recordings will be available on EMDRCANADACONFERENCE.COM for viewing only from April 20 until June 20, 2021.
Can I download a session recording?
Session recordings will not be available for download. They will be available for viewing only. However, you can watch them as many times as you wish. Access to sessions will be until June 20, 2021.
Can I record a live session for my own professional use?

Will all sessions be available for viewing after the live conference?
Most of session recordings will be available for viewing after the conference on our website (EMDRCANADACONFERENCE.COM) except for those where there are confidentiality issues.
Continuing Education Credits (CEU)
Are all presentations accredited?
Workshops are generally accredited unless otherwise specified in the schedule. The number of credits awarded is indicated in a small square at the bottom of the title of each workshop or in its description.
An EMDRIA approved three hours workshop will receive three credits, a 90 minutes presentation, 1.5 credits. Please note that an application has been made to EMDRIA for approval for CE credits.
How do I obtain EMDRIA Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
For the “live” virtual sessions of the conference, to receive EMDRIA Continuing Education Credits (CEUs), it is necessary to fill out an evaluation form for each workshop.
To obtain CEUs after viewing a recorded session, you must complete the evaluation form and answer a few questions in a quiz about the session being viewed entirely.
Once you have fulfilled these conditions, an email containing your certificate with the corresponding CEU credits will be sent to you.
When will I obtain credits for presentations I attended live and after viewing a recorded session?
After a live session, EMDR Canada will send you your certificate by email after completing the evaluation form.
After viewing a recorded session, EMDR Canada will email you your certificate after you complete the evaluation form and answer a few quiz questions about the session being viewed.
Do I need to complete full EMDRIA or EMDR Europe Basic Training to obtain EMDRIA CEU credits?
YES, completion of the full EMDRIA or EMDR Europe Basic Training is required to receive EMDRIA Continuing Education Credits. Also, make sure to sign-in and sign-out of all the workshops you attend.
Can anyone attend the annual general meeting?
All EMDR Canada members (and invited guests) are welcome and encouraged to attend the AGM.
When is the Annual General Meeting?
Join us for the Annual General Meeting, Saturday April 17th between 5:00 and 6:15 pm. It is an opportunity to meet the Board of Directors, to find out what’s happening at EMDR Canada, and to share your suggestions for future planning.
